VERIFICATION Over 1 billion addresses verified

Email verification, checked against 100 million addresses we already know are bad.

Every address runs an 18-point process, then gets matched against our own database of spam traps, hard bounces and complainers. We built it by delivering 20 billion emails and watching what failed, not by licensing a list from someone else. From $150, no subscription, and credits never expire.

Why this one

Three things a cheaper verifier cannot do.

There are faster and cheaper tools than this one. None of them have to live with the result.

The database

100 million addresses we already know are bad

Spam traps, hard bounces and known complainers, matched against every list we clean. It was built from delivering 20 billion emails and recording what came back, which is not something a verification tool without a sending platform can assemble.

The depth

18 checks across four levels

Address, domain, mailbox and reputation. Syntax and MX lookups are the easy part and every tool does them. The SMTP-level check and the trap removal are where lists actually get saved, and they are the checks cheap tools skip.

The stake

We send the list afterwards

A standalone verifier hands the file back and the bounces are your problem. If you send from here, they are ours too, on our IPs. That is a different incentive, and it is why the checks are as aggressive as they are.

Pricing

Buy credits once. They do not expire.

No monthly commitment and no subscription. The per-email rate falls as the pack gets bigger, from $0.0030 down to $0.0012.

You may not need a pack at all. Every platform plan already includes verification credits worth 25% of its monthly send volume, which is 25,000 credits on the entry plan and 250,000 on the 1 million plan. These packs are for the rest: a one-off file bigger than your allowance, or verification without a sending plan. See platform pricing.

The 18-point process

What gets checked, and at which level.

Four levels, each catching a different kind of bad address. An address has to survive all four to stay on your list.

Address level

Syntax check
Validates the format of the address itself, catching the malformed entries that every list export produces.
Typo detector
Catches the obvious misspellings, the gmial.com and hotmial.com class of error, before they become bounces.
Duplicate removal
Finds and removes repeated entries, so you are not paying to send the same person the same message twice.
Role account check
Flags addresses like admin@, abuse@ and noc@, which reach a queue rather than a person and complain at a much higher rate.

Domain level

DNS and MX records
Confirms the domain exists and is actually configured to accept mail, rather than simply being registered.
Domain validation
Detects domains pointed at a parking page or otherwise inactive, which look real in a spreadsheet and are not.
Disposable domain check
Identifies throwaway and temporary mail providers, which never convert and often exist to absorb exactly this kind of mail.
Domain quality check
Checks the domain against complaint databases, so you find out it is a liability before your reputation does.

Mailbox level

SMTP validation
An SMTP-level check taken right up to the point of sending, to establish whether the mailbox itself exists. This is the check most cheap tools skip.
Bot detection
Identifies addresses that belong to automated systems rather than people, which inflate open rates and deliver nothing.

Reputation level

Known-bad database
Matches every address against our own file of over 100 million spam traps, hard bounces and complainers, built from 20 billion delivered emails. An address that has already failed elsewhere never gets a second try on your IP.
Spam trap removal
Removes known trap addresses. These are the expensive ones: they accept mail silently and report you for it, and a single hit can undo months of reputation building.
Why it pays for itself

The sum on a 500,000-record file.

No industry averages here, just arithmetic you can redo. Take a 500,000-address purchased file and assume 8% of it is undeliverable, which is unremarkable for cold data.

Verification cost $800

One 500,000-credit pack at $0.0016 an address, bought once, with no monthly commitment.

Undeliverable at 8% 40,000

Addresses that would hard bounce. Every one of them is a receiving domain being told you do not know who you are emailing.

What you are protecting Your IPs

Reputation damage takes far longer to repair than verification takes to run, and the repair happens while your campaigns are paused.

Change the 8% to whatever you believe about your own data and the conclusion holds at almost any rate: the pack costs less than the recovery. That is the entire argument, and it is why verification is bundled into the platform plans rather than offered as an upsell.

How it works

Four steps, and you can leave after the third.

Verification is sold on its own. Cleaning a list here and sending it somewhere else is a perfectly normal thing to do.

1

Upload a list of any size

CSV or paste it in. There is no row limit and no need to split a large file into chunks.

2

We run every address through the checks

Address, domain, mailbox and reputation checks run in sequence. You can watch progress rather than waiting on an email.

3

Read the report before you download

Every address comes back categorized, so you can see what was removed and why rather than being handed a shorter file.

4

Download the clean list, or send from it here

Export it for whatever you use, or send straight from the MailClickConvert platform without moving the file again.

What customers say

Lists other platforms would not touch.

“This platform is a good alternative for cold email marketing, given the restrictions on Constant Contact or MailChimp. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for purchased email lists.”

Questions

Email verification, answered.

What is email verification?
Email verification is the process of testing whether an address can actually receive mail before you send to it. It checks the address format, the domain's DNS and MX records, and the mailbox itself at the SMTP level, then flags anything invalid, disposable, role-based or known to bounce. The purpose is to remove addresses that would hard bounce, because hard bounces are what damage sender reputation.
How much does email verification cost?
Credit packs run from $150 for 50,000 emails to $1,200 for 1 million, and the per-email rate falls as the pack gets bigger: $0.0030 at 50,000 against $0.0012 at 1 million. Volumes above 1 million are quoted. There is no monthly commitment and credits never expire, so a pack bought for one campaign is still there for the next one.
What does the 18-point verification process check?
Checks run at four levels. Address level covers syntax, common typos, duplicates and role accounts like admin@ or abuse@. Domain level covers DNS and MX records, parked or inactive domains, disposable domains and domains on complaint databases. Mailbox level is an SMTP check up to the point of sending, plus bot detection. Reputation level matches every address against our own database of over 100 million spam traps, hard bounces and complainers, built from 20 billion delivered emails rather than licensed.
Do I need verification if I bought the list?
More than anyone. A purchased or rented file is the least predictable data you can send to, and it is usually the oldest. Verifying it first is the difference between a campaign that lands and a fresh IP that gets flagged in week one. This is why every MailClickConvert platform plan carries verification credits worth 25% of its monthly send volume rather than selling them separately.
Will verification catch every bad address?
No, and be careful with anyone who says otherwise. Some mail servers accept everything and sort it out later, so a catch-all domain cannot be verified at the mailbox level by anyone. What verification does is remove the addresses that are provably bad, which is the large majority of the risk. The rest is managed by ramping volume and watching placement.
Do credits expire?
No. There is no monthly commitment and credits never expire, so you can buy for a one-off migration or a quarterly clean without a subscription. Unused credits stay on the account indefinitely.
Can I verify a list without sending from MailClickConvert?
Yes. Verification is sold on its own, and plenty of customers clean a list here and send it somewhere else. Download the cleaned file and use it wherever you like. If you do send from our platform, you skip the export step entirely.
