RETAINER Ongoing management

Ongoing management. You run the sending, we watch the reputation.

Scheduled placement testing, blocklist and reputation monitoring, warmup kept running underneath, and the repair work when something slips. We fix problems rather than emailing you an alert about them. A written read every month, from a person who knows your setup.

What it covers
  • Placement tested on a schedule
  • Problems fixed, not flagged
  • Warmup kept running
  • Any platform, not just ours
What it is

You run the sending. We watch the reputation.

The short answer

Ongoing management is the lighter half of managed outbound. Your team writes and sends the campaigns. Ours monitors placement, reputation and blocklists every month, catches problems while they are still small, and does the repair work when something slips. It suits teams who want to own their messaging but not own their deliverability.

Every month

What actually happens on a retainer.

Monitoring

Inbox placement testing
Seed sends across providers on a schedule, so a decline shows up as a trend rather than as a quarter of missed pipeline.
Blocklist and reputation watch
Every IP and domain checked continuously, with Google Postmaster data read alongside it.
Authentication drift
Records get changed by people who do not know what they are for. We notice when yours do.

Maintenance

Warmup kept running
Underneath live sending, because reputation decays when volume is irregular and a quiet fortnight is a real risk.
Suppression hygiene
Complaints and bounces suppressed as they arrive rather than at the next manual clean.
Rotation tuning
IP groups adjusted as volume and segments shift, so no single address quietly starts carrying too much.

Repair

Problems fixed, not just flagged
A monitoring service that emails you an alert has moved the work rather than done it. Delisting, reconfiguration and ramp adjustment are included.
Infrastructure replaced when needed
A burnt neutral IP is swapped rather than nursed, because on standard IPs replacement is faster and safer than repair.

Reporting

A monthly written read
What moved, what it means and what we did about it, in language you can forward to someone who does not do this for a living.
A person, not a portal
Someone who knows your setup and answers when you ask why Tuesday looked strange.
Which one

Three ways to work with us, in order of how much you keep.

Lightest

Platform only

You run everything on the platform. Warmup, monitoring and suppression are built in, but nobody is watching your numbers except you.

Middle

Ongoing management

You write and send. We monitor, maintain and repair, and you get a written read every month. The right fit for a team with a marketer but no deliverability specialist.

Fullest

Managed outbound

We operate the whole program, campaigns included. See managed outbound for what that covers and what we require before taking it on.

Questions

Ongoing management, answered.

What is ongoing deliverability management?
A monthly retainer where you run your own campaigns and we take responsibility for the deliverability underneath them: placement testing on a schedule, blocklist and reputation monitoring, warmup kept running, suppression hygiene, rotation tuning, and the repair work when something slips.
How is this different from managed outbound?
Who writes the campaigns. Under managed outbound we operate the whole program including the messaging. Under ongoing management your team keeps that and we take the infrastructure and reputation side. Most teams who want to keep control of their voice choose this one.
Do you just send alerts, or do you fix things?
We fix them. A monitoring service that emails you a warning has moved the work to you rather than done it, which is not much use at the moment a domain gets listed. Delisting, reconfiguration and ramp adjustment are part of the retainer.
What does it cost?
It is scoped on volume, IP count and how much sending you do, so it is quoted rather than listed. There is a three-month minimum, because one month of monitoring tells you almost nothing about a reputation trend. Tell us what you are running and we will quote it.
Do I need this if warmup and monitoring are already in the platform?
Not necessarily, and we will say so. The platform handles the mechanics. What a retainer adds is someone who reads the numbers, notices a trend three weeks before it becomes a problem, and knows what to do about it. If you have that person in-house you probably do not need us.
Can you manage a setup on another platform?
Yes. Monitoring and repair are platform-agnostic in the same way the free diagnosis is. Plenty of retainers cover a stack we did not build, and moving is not a condition of us looking after it.
Get started

Tell us what you are running.

Volume, platform and who looks after deliverability today. If the answer is that you already have someone good, we will tell you that you do not need us.

  • Problems caught as trends rather than as missed quarters
  • Repair included, not billed as an incident
  • If you do not need a retainer, we will say so

We reply within one business day. No sequence, no drip.

Most deliverability problems are visible weeks before they hurt.

The difficulty is that nobody is looking. Tell us what you send and we will tell you what watching it properly involves.
